The decision on how to access and use computing resources has become a wider field recently. No longer do we just go and purchase a new computer if we want to use a computer.
That may seem odd, but with the ability to use Cloud systems or create purpose-built virtual machines – we don’t have to fill labs with different physical computers.
I’ve been directing my students to cloud labs for several years – and the cost reduction, time savings, and flexibility have been game changing. I’ve been able to implement better spaced repetition by giving students the ability to run labs on their schedules.
