You’ve spent decades becoming an expert. It’s time that expertise paid you what it’s worth.
The Educator Income Lab is a coaching program for experienced educators who are ready to build a meaningful, ethical income stream from the knowledge they already have — without giving up the work they love or becoming someone they’re not.
a short time. No pitch. We map out what’s possible for you.
Is the Lab right for you?
This is for you if:
- You have 10+ years of teaching, training, or instructional experience
- You want to build income from your expertise without leaving education
- You’d rather build something thoughtful than chase a hustle
- You learn fast and follow through when you have structure and accountability
- You’re willing to do the work — not just consume content
This isn’t for you if:
- You’re looking for a quick-money side hustle
- You don’t have specific expertise yet
- You want a course you can passively consume
- You’re hoping I’ll do the work for you
- You’re not willing to put yourself out there in some form
If you’re an educator reading this, you probably already know:
- You’ve built rare expertise through years of teaching, training, and figuring things out the hard way
- People outside the classroom would pay real money for what you know — if you could just figure out how to package it
- Generic “online business” advice feels gross, salesy, or completely disconnected from how educators actually think
- You don’t want to leave teaching. You want a second income that respects your time, energy, and the work you already do
- You’ve thought about doing this for years. Something always gets in the way
The Educator Income Lab exists for that exact moment.
The transformation
Imagine six months from now:
- You’ve identified the part of your expertise that people will actually pay for — and you have evidence, not guesses
- You have a clear, simple offer (coaching, a cohort, a course, a service — whatever fits your strengths) that you can describe in one sentence
- You’re earning real money from work that energizes you instead of drains you
- You have a small audience of people who trust you and look forward to hearing from you
- You’re inside a community of educators doing the same thing — so you’re not figuring it out alone
- The pressure on your day job has changed. Even if you stay in education, you’re there because you want to be — not because you have to be
This is the outcome the Lab is built around. Not a side hustle. Not “passive income.” A real, sustainable second income built on the years of expertise you already have.
How the Lab works
One-on-one coaching with Frank
Personal strategy sessions to identify your most monetizable expertise, design your first offer, and work through the obstacles that are actually blocking you (because they’re rarely the ones you think they are).
Small-group cohort training
Move through the core building blocks alongside other educators in the same place you are. Live sessions, accountability, peer feedback, and the focused energy of doing the work in a group instead of alone in front of a screen.
The Skool community
Ongoing access to a community of educators building income from their expertise. Templates, frameworks, course outlines, sales scripts, pricing models — and threads where people share what’s working and what’s not.
Live office hours
Regular sessions where you bring your specific challenges, get feedback on your work, and learn from what other members are figuring out in real time.
Why work with me
I’m Frank Bergdoll. I’ve been an educator for 25+ years. I currently lead AI projects at SAIT, hold a Master of Arts in Learning and Technology, and have published a book on learning.
I’ve also done what I’m now coaching others through. I built a YouTube channel from zero to 60,000+ subscribers and 6M+ views. I’ve published a book that sells on Amazon worldwide. I run paid programs that generate meaningful income alongside my day work.
I’m not a marketing guru who picked education as a niche. I’m an educator who figured out how to monetize that expertise — and I’m now teaching other educators to do the same.
If you’ve read other “build an online business” content and felt like it wasn’t speaking your language — that’s because it wasn’t. The Lab is built by an educator, for educators.
What you’ll work on inside the Lab
- Identifying your most monetizable expertise — what you actually know that people will pay for, validated against real demand
- Choosing the right offer format — coaching, courses, cohorts, consulting, products, content — matched to your strengths and goals
- Pricing and positioning — so you’re not underselling 25 years of work for a $19 ebook
- Building an audience the right way — small, trusting, and aligned, without becoming an “influencer”
- Selling without sleaze — sales conversations that feel like teaching, not pressure
- Operations that don’t burn you out — running it sustainably alongside your day work
What it costs
- Skool community access — month-to-month membership, the lowest-cost entry point
- Small-group cohorts — priced per cohort, with a refund window in the first week
- One-on-one coaching — priced individually based on engagement scope
Cancel anytime. No long-term commitment. If your first month inside the Lab isn’t useful, I’ll refund you — no questions, no awkwardness.
Not sure which option fits? That’s exactly what the free strategy call is for.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it actually cost?
The Skool community is the lowest-cost entry point. Cohorts and one-on-one coaching are priced higher because they include direct access to me. Exact pricing is shared on the strategy call once we know which fit makes sense for you.
How long is a cohort?
Cohorts run 6 to 8 weeks. Live sessions are weekly, with structured work between sessions. The pace is designed to fit alongside a full-time teaching job.
What if I’m not technical?
You don’t need to be. The Lab is about turning your existing expertise into income — not about becoming a software developer. Most members are educators, not engineers.
Do I need to leave my teaching job?
No, and most members don’t. The Lab is designed for educators who want a meaningful side income alongside their day job. Some members eventually transition to full-time independent work, but that’s a choice, not a requirement.
Can I do this part-time?
Yes. The Lab is built around the reality that most members have full-time teaching jobs and limited evenings/weekends. Expect to invest 3 to 5 hours per week if you’re moving through a cohort, less for community-only access.
What happens on the strategy call?
a short time. We talk about where you are, what expertise you’re sitting on, what’s been getting in the way, and whether the Lab is the right next step. If it is, I’ll show you how to join. If something else fits better (a different program, a different timing, doing it on your own), I’ll tell you that. No pitch.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes. Skool community access is month-to-month — cancel anytime. Cohorts are paid up front but include a refund window in the first week if it isn’t a fit.
What if I’m just exploring and not sure I’m ready?
Start with the free Learning & Technology Skool community. It’s a no-cost way to be in the conversation, see how I work, and figure out if the paid Lab is something you want to move into later.
Are you at a school, district, or organization rather than an individual educator? I also work directly with institutions through strategic AI consulting.
The next step is a conversation
The best way to know if the Lab is right for you isn’t to read more pages on a website. It’s to talk.
Book a free discovery strategy call. We’ll talk through where you are, what you’re sitting on (because you’re sitting on more than you think), and whether the Lab is the right next step. If it is, great — I’ll show you how to join. If it’s not, I’ll point you somewhere that fits better. No pitch, no pressure.
